- once he comes to term with it, he would try to spend as much time as possible with them

- he would take them to as many new places he can, and try to give them many new experiences before it happens.

- would even ask barbatos if he can go back in time to find them a cure.

- when the inevitable happens he thinks his father is the one to blame, it's his fault for everything. them falling, lilith dying and now this. "why can't he just leave us alone?".

- he hoards all those things he buys all around the house actually. and if anyone anyone tries to throw those things away he gets agitated and turns into his demon form to fight them.

- will get better once he sees levi trying to pick all the things mammon left in his room.

- tries to go outside more with them so he has memories with them that don't include sitting in his room and watching anime, those times he went outside he actually appreciated being there.

- also makes them stay in his room, they sleep in his arms and he starts sleeping in his demon form, wrapping his tail around the mc so they can't go anywhere, he knows this is pointless.

- still tries to watch as much anime as possible but when a character he likes dies, he finds himself sobbing like a baby not because he's sad for the character but because he knows this will happen to his henry.

- when they pass away he feels numb, he did all the crying when they were still there with him, he becomes an even bigger shut-in doesn't want to meet any new people especially not humans, not because he hates them but because they remind him of the mc.

- the only reason he leaves his room is to go swimming, he does that even more than he used to. his younger brothers were worried but lucifer thinks this is a healthier alternative to anything else he could do.

- is so angry at his father that he threatens war to the celestial realm using the devildom's navy.

- only got better when lucifer tried to reason him, he knows the mc wouldn't want him to do that but he doesn't know what else to do or how to mourn the human.

- does not believe them, they look healthy to him so what are they talking about?? only believes them when they start talking about symptoms or he sees the symptoms himself.

- starts looking for a magical remedy to make them feel better, or even a cure. but it's no use, he can't find anything helpful other than pain relief magic. he even asks solomon but he wasn't able to give him something useful to work with.

- reads to them books about characters who feel how he feels because he can't bring himself to actually tell them how awful he is feeling.

- tries to spend as much time as possible with them even if it's for the silliest, most insignificant things there are.

- is barely able to keep himself together, he gets agitated by the smallest things you can imagine.

- after their death he feels as if a big part of his identity vanished, he feels how he used to feel about himself before he made up with lucifer and he hates that.

- going to a cat cafe or a library don't cheer him up as much as they used to, he just wishes to be with them and nothing else.

- is angry at himself and at god. he's angry at himself because even tho he knows so many things he wasn't able to save them and he's angry at god because everything is his fault.

- asmo suggests he writes a book about them and their shared memories, since he loved them and he loves books satan finds this idea excellent, however it doesn't help much because whenever he starts writing he gets so into it that he neglects himself.

- is able to kinda pull himself together when he sees lucifer bringing him a cat for emotional support, they both know this is not a permanent solution but it will help him cope for now.

minor lesson 35 spoiler!!

- "what?? no no no!! this isn't happening mc!! we will find a solution i promise!"

- asks solomon and his fans to help but there's nothing they can do to help.

- buys them as many pretty outfits he can and takes photos of them to remember.

- is actually the first one to accept what is going to happen, after all he's used to losing the people that he loves, some leave due to jealousy and others die.

- does even more sleepovers in his room with the mc so they can have lots of fun together, even if this situation is very sad he tries to be positive and make the best memories he can with them

- though he still looks cheerful, he's so sad internally he doesn't know what to do after his mc is gone. he feels as if he won't be the same without them because he's one of the very few people who didn't care about his looks and loved him for him, he will miss this feeling so much that he's trying cling onto it as much as time allows him to.

- after it happens, he is also numb. not because he grieved before they died but because he tries to shut down his feelings by indulging in his sin, going clubbing and spoiling himself even more than before.

- though none if the above are as fun now that he can't do them with them, he gets to the point where he stops listening to lucifer and starts talking to everyone in a sarcastic tone.

- clings to solomon because even though he knows that solomon can't die, he can't help but feel like he needs to. solomon was able to talk some sense to him after lucifer told him about his behaviour. gets better when his brothers start aggressively pointing out his awful behaviour and how much they care about him and his well-being.

i think i’m good at describing things, especially kisses, i LOVE writing kisses, it’s one of my favorite things, that and my fight scenes are two of the things i pride myself the most on

dialogue, sometimes i feel the characters are ridiculously out of character, but then i don’t care because sometimes in canon characters are also ridiculously out of characters, also describing things, because sometimes i just feel like scenes don’t flow right, i am definitely a comma whore, and use dashes and hyphens in places they definitely shouldn’t be used, run-on sentences are my best friends, also english isn't my first language, so, sometimes the way i phrase things just come out wrong

18. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

tbh completely honest, i follow the nora sakavic method where you just write the dialogue in english like, “hey there love,” they said in perfect french, and i only break this rule if i actually know the language because just translating straight from english always makes things sound stilted and weird

Yoongi helps induce you again and you head to the hospital where you give birth to Jeon Jeongsan. Kyungju and Jeongsan grow up little by little together and shenanigans ensue. Sickness falls on you and your immune system is under attack due to the unfamiliar viruses of the future. It is revealed you are also pregnant. Spontaneously going into labour from a single kiss from Yoongi you are petrified that it is too early and the baby won’t make it. You are informed not only that you are full-term but you are carrying twins which seems almost unbelievable with how you don’t look nine months at all let alone nine months with twins.

The shock that ran through Taehyung’s body was overpowering. The idea that you or the babies could die due to your low immunity and the vulnerability from the stress of pregnancy and giving birth. He didn’t want to be the one who got you or his babies killed. He didn’t even like that word and cried in the waiting room blaming himself.

If you are reading this I have likely passed, and given you my van. Don’t cry for an old man like myself because I am finally with my family. I thought I was waiting for my children to grow up before I could move on and be at peace but it seems I was wrong It wasn’t my children that needed me, it was you dear. I was supposed to teach you. And I did, but you don’t need me anymore. You have grown into a bright young woman, you have children of your own and there is one thing left. I can teach you the final recipe that I never taught you. Never stop learning there is more to learn even if I am no longer there.

You turned the page and read the title smiling through your tears. ‘Turkish delight Ice Cream’. You washed your face and hands and got to work unable to let yourself cry, you finished and tasted it. Surprised when you had been successful.

There was a knock on the Van window and you opened it, it was too early for customers. “Hey, Erik what’s going on?” You smiled “I was wondering if I could give you a resumè?” “Of Course Erik I am actually hiring, what do you say I show you the ropes today?”

He beamed and you brought him to the back and started from the beginning exactly how Inshik had taught you. You were excited to pass on the knowledge and lessons you had learnt from the man you considered part of your own family.

Hajun said he didn’t want his father's work to die so he bought a shop and he would cover all expenses. The shop was across the road from Jimin’s bakery. When it was all done up you took all the good parts of the van and decorated the shop. It was like an American style milk bar from the ’50s.

There was the giant spoon from the top of the van on the back wall and everything was a lovely shade of pink. You were able to do so much more work and be able to keep more flavours at once. “Hey Erik, you ready to learn how to make ice cream?”

“You are going to learn how to make vanilla ice cream, it’s the original flavour. If you can’t perfect the vanilla then you can’t expect your other more complex flavours to be good. Vanilla is so simple but so easy to get wrong. But good vanilla ice cream will turn a good experience into a great experience.”

You let him try the last batch of your former boss’s vanilla ice cream and he hummed “that’s really nice” “Yup so let’s begin”

Teaching Erik was hard but you soon realised the truth in Inshik’s words. Only in teaching did you learn some valuable lessons. there is more to learn even if I am no longer there.

Jimin walked over greeting you with a hug, you hurried your nose against him enjoying his fresh bread smell. He and Jungkook helped you pack up and clean the floor and everything. While you interviewed some applicants you wanted to expand the staff but by how many, if you covered running the shop and teaching Erik. Then there was the kitchen which served chips, burgers and pancakes not your shop's speciality but something on the side.

You were open seven days and there was a morning shift, a lunch shift and an afternoon shift. So at least six people would be perfect. Maybe an extra in case someone is sick you were.

Hajun hires a cook, a lovely young man. Kim Hyo-jong, a very quiet guy but he went by the name of Dawn. You accepted the TXT boys. Then you met a very cute girl who worked really hard. Her name was Kim Hyuna. There was another guy named Hoe-taek who went by hui. You wanted to hire Yangyang Chenle and Jisung who put in applications but you knew they were pretty famous and going on tours and that wouldn't work out.

You did, however, manage to get them to do a video interview inside the story one night with Taehyung and Jungkook's camera skills. They danced to their latest song on the jukebox and you grinned giving them different ice cream flavours to try. They loved it, they were shouting ‘free ice cream, free ice cream!’

Needless to say advertising on your account and theirs meant you had a lot of customers.

You had a picture of Inshik on the wall and around it, you put pictures of the TXT boys and your Bangtan family with your channel logo. You had the NCT boys on the wall with their signatures and even TOP who was a famous actor came in and took a picture for the wall signing it. The whole of the BigBang family put individual photos on the wall with their signatures.

Fans loved looking at who had visited the shop.

Jimin came over after work and You both cleaned up waiting for Jungkook to arrive so you could pick up Seokjin together. During cleaning up, Jimin nudged your arm. He had noticed that Hyuna was glancing into the kitchen at Dawn. A song began playing as she mopped the floor and she started dancing and singing, spinning around her uniform skirt bouncing with every excited jump she made.

Jimin bumped your arm again and pointed to Dawn who had gotten lost watching her dance and shook his head getting back to work. Giggling all the way home as you told the others about the growing infatuation between your two employees.

“It’s so cute! I am going to roster them together more often” “I will try to casually ask Dawn” Jimin hugged you kissing your cheek.

Namjoon that night had snuck you away early to the bedroom you laid across the bed giggling as he kissed you the door threw open.

“We see how it is, we get the kids to bed and you too are having fun without us” “The kids are in bed?” “Yes Namjoon, no thanks to you” “Hear that love” Namjoon grabbed your shirt and ripped it open the buttons flying everywhere and you scolded him. “Oops in movies the shirt just opens I didn’t mean to wreck your shirt”

He scrambled to collect all the buttons off the bed and floor when Jimin pulled off his own shirt and crawled on top of you he giggled taking off your bra properly and he squeezed your breasts kissing your neck.

“Oi, I was gone for two minutes. What the hell is this?” Namjoon slapped Jimin's jean-clad ass causing the younger to moan against your skin, hands tightening just on your breasts.

“Ow Jimin that hurts” “That’s because your pregnant love, Hobi and I figured it out last week you have a telltale sign and it’s adorable” he grinned “Really?” “And we are placing bets baby because three weeks ago it was only Hoseok you and myself, while the boys were busy for the week and so we think it’s one of us”

You got up and went to the bathroom to take a test and you started to cry. “I really am pregnant, how the hell do you know before us” “You start to smell sweeter darling like passion fruit” Hoseok smiled

“That’s what that is” Yoongi hummed “it’s nice” “I didn’t know that’s weird” you hummed “But we kept you busy and we made sure to fill this pretty pussy of yours with all we had every night, so we can’t wait to find out who is the dad” they fist-bumped. 

“You are all amazing and I love all of you so much” they all crawled into bed. Today Namjoon’s attention and hands were on Seokjin the eldest who was making a lot of noise and you grinned and leaned over him kissing his neck and his sweet moans had you turned on rather quickly.

Hoseok and Yoongi were rather busy. Taehyung and Jimin were doing Rock Paper Scissors on who got to eat you out. Jungkook who was feeling kind of left out jumped the queue and kissed down your back his hands reaching under you to remove your jeans you were hovering over Seok Jin’s head and your hair was tickling his chest.

Your arms almost gave out. Jungkook was laying underneath you pulling you down to sit on his face. Working his golden tongue like it was the only way to save his life. Moaning the two arguing turned.

“Jungkook what the hell, man?” “You shouldn’t leave a lady unattended” Jungkook said, the vibrations of his words against you made you shudder.

“Hey” Hoseok slapped Jungkook's tented bulge. The maknae growled and your grip on the sheets increased. “Don’t talk with your mouthful”

The had discovered that Jungkook like Jimin had a bit of a fetish for pain, nothing extreme but Taehyung and Jimin grinned at the unsuspecting figure laying underneath you.

The two unzipped his pants and he squirmed whining into you. They were being rough and when they finally exposed him they saw the dribble of sticky precum leaking from the head of his cock”

They both took turns taking him into their mouths and took a side each to run their tongues along his length. It was a beautiful dance where everyone took their turns climaxing before switching positions.

It was Jeongsan first day of daycare, he took a little longer to go than Kyungju because he was more sensitive to being away from all of you. He was in his terrible twos which meant he had tantrums because things weren’t right.

He wanted to do things himself but couldn’t and that made it worse. “Time to get dressed JayJay” Seokjin smiled “No daddy Eokie, me do it” Seokjin sighed and handed over the clothes and watched him put the pants on backwards and get tangled in his shirt, he cried having a meltdown because it wasn’t working.

“Let me help you he took off the clothes and helped him put them on and he wiped the boy's tears “your such a good boy Jeongsan” “Everything all good” Namjoon smiled “Cuggel daddy Joo Joo!” “Alright come here for cuggels” he held his arms out and Jeongsan hugged Namjoon cuddling into his chest.

“Daddy Tata have you seen my shoes?” Kyungju called walking past the room into the studio and Taehyung looked down with a smile, “of course, he through the boy over his shoulder and ran down the hall”

Echoes of giggles through the house had everyone smiling and you were all ready for the day. The twins went to daycare early like Kyungju and the boys were the happiest when you decided to switch to bottles because they could feed them. It made it easier with your busy schedule and the daycare to bottle feed them.

Your belly got big pretty quickly and you went to the doctor for a check-up hoping it wasn’t twins. You weren’t ready for that sort of news not after just having twins. Luckily there was only one. You were told there was just a lot of fluid and that you may grow quite big this pregnancy. You found out it was another baby boy and this time the father was…

A/N: Aw thanks anon, and I wasn’t really sure what to do with this but I tried my best sorry if it’s bad!

“I’m sorry.” Coulson said, gently putting a hand on your shoulder in an attempt to comfort you.

He’d just told you that your best friend has been kidnapped when they were coming to see you. Some hydra agents knew how close she was to you and wanted to get to you, unfortunately they succeeded.

“Thanks, I’ll be fine, thanks Phil.” You said, and started walking towards your room without another word. You were rubbing your forehead, shoulders hunched, trying to avoid attracting any attention.

“You okay?” Maria asked you as she came to walk with you.

“No, I mean yes I have to be for this job don’t I?” You joked, you knew it was a bad joke you were just frustrated and upset. And the last thing you needed was to be nervous around your girlfriend.

You’d gotten together less than a week ago but you still felt nervous talking to her. It was getting better but right now, you lost your filter and was about to say anything that came out of your mouth.

“We have to do a lot for this job but hiding what we feel isn’t one of them.” She retorted as the two of you reached your room.

You knew you couldn’t tell her to just go away, she wouldn’t until she knew what was bothering you. It was one of the things you liked but also sometimes hated about Maria

She walked into your room with you. You instantly plopped down on the bed with a groan. The awkward silence was killing you as Maria expected you to continue to talk. You just didn’t want to. You saw her open her mouth to say something but you cut her off.

“Please don’t talk to me, I’m dealing with some stuff.” You said, heading over to the couch to watch something.

Maria could tell something was wrong before but now you’d just confirmed it. And now if you thought she was leaving you alone you were definitely wrong.

“I won’t talk then.” Maria said smoothly as she sat down beside you.

Both of you sat stiffly through the first movie. It wasn’t until the second movie in a scene about becoming best friends till you broke. A sob wrenched it’s way through your throat, Maria noticed instantly and paused the movie.

Your head fell on her shoulder out of instinct. Maria turned slightly to face you as she pulled you closer to her. She leaned back so her head was being cushioned by the armrest and pulled you on top of her, your face still snuggled into her shoulder as you sobbed. You knew Maria wasn’t the one for PDA or any affection so this actually meant a lot to you.

Everything hurt, from missing your best friend, to not knowing if she’s dead to knowing it’s your fault. Eventually you lost control of whatever was coming out of your mouth and you spilled everything that happen. Maria just listened intently as you spilled your heart out.

“Are you gonna day anything?” You sniffled, looking up at her.

“You told me not to speak.” She said with a small smirk. Then pulled you closer to herself and rested her chin on top of your head.

“Y/n, this job it takes its toll on all of us. You shouldn’t ever hide what you feel, especially around me. Honestly I’m a spy if I can’t tell something’s wrong then well I’m a shit spy.” She joked, and heard you chuckle slightly. “But people close to us can get hurt sometimes. And it’s never our fault for getting close to them. If she’s your best friend, you’ve helped her a lot, that’s what friendship means.” She said ima comforting way. You’d stopped crying to listen but a question came in your head.

“What if she blames me if we find her?” You asked, on the verge of tears again. She pulled away to look at you. You almost gasped, you’d barely ever gotten to opportunity to see her eyes this close up. And they were a gorgeous shade of blue.

“Well then she would’ve lost her best friend, and you would’ve lost a fake friend.” She stated but then continued. “And you can ask her that WHEN we find her.” She said, emphasizing the when.

“What if we don’t?” You asked timidly, starting to fall asleep after feeling emotionally drained.

“I will then.” She stated. “Now go to sleep.” She whispered, putting one hand on your head and tucking your head closer to her shoulder.

Your worried had subsided drastically after talking, well mostly crying to Maria. You knew that she would be there for you through everything and this just confirmed it. Even though it had only been a week since you were together, you already trusted her with everything.

Let’s talk about Ronan and Crystal for a hot second please

Y’all it astounds me how much this fandom grossly mischaracterizes Ronan and sleeps on his relationship with Crystal like... have any of you read the comics??? Do you not know what an absolute love-struck doofus this man is?????

The War of Kings and Realm of Kings comic runs were are first REAL look at Ronan’s character. Prior to he’d been mostly an antagonist figure who was slowly evolving into more of an anti-hero. But we hadn’t spent any significant time getting to know him outside of the Annihilation run (and even there it was still limited). How he behaves with Crystal is a showing of who he genuinely is and how he naturally behaves. The Kree are in a very difficult spot in their history at this time, being unable to evolve, but despite this Ronan never has a short fuse with Crystal, never raises his voice at her, he’s never once in his whole character run even REMOTELY angry with her of his own mind, even when Medusa pushes him to his limits. He never takes out any of his frustration on her, and is only ever respectful and understanding. Coming from all the previously known info about Ronan, painting him as nothing but this difficult, aggressive, blood-thirsty, conquest hungry, warlord, to THIS, a very caring individual capable of loving and loving purely, giving his 100% devotion to this one woman was very surprising to say the least. 

I could get into all my thoughts about Ronan as a character as he’s my end all be all single favorite fictional character and has been for the past... almost 6 years now~ but I’ll save it and get into beginnings of his and Crystal’s relationship! 

I’m gonna start from the beginning of Realm of Kings, after the complicated war with the Shi’ar just so I can get to the meat of their budding romance and just how much of an absolute dork Ronan is (I’ll touch on the preceding events in War of Kings and some stuff after Realm of Kings a little in this too but I’m gonna save most of it for a separate post!) For context, the Kree are now being ruled under the Inhuman Royal Family. Ronan and Crystal were arranged to be married as a political symbol of the two races’ newfound unity and it was meant to be just that. Their relationship was a pretty slow burn that neither of them, or anyone, expected.

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 01 ] So from the get go Ronan is just,, PROTECC even tho at this point their relationship is SUPPOSED to be purely political he’s still so sweet and polite with her just out of seemingly sheer natural instinct. This guy isn’t used to relationships okay, he’s literally only ever been in one other one his wholeass life and it didn’t really go very well. He’s very much just trying to do the chivalrist thing and doesn’t demean her in any way, or at least he very much doesn’t mean to, nor does he think she’s incapable he’s just naturally trying to be a gentleman.

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 01 ] Their growing relationship is very subtly hinted at in the early interactions between them, as they’re both very polite with each other. Crystal’s genuine kindness towards him REGULARLY catches Ronan very much off guard as he’s just... not used to that kind of interaction with others?? He’s so used to being approached with hostility or fear or an uncomfortable worship like respect that when someone is just.. genuinely nice to him he can hardly process it.

Crystal would visit him in the hospital after the Shi’ar attack on their wedding (where Ronan nearly died) and Ronan was probably so surprised to see her there like “I forced her to marry me so I could maintain some political status over the Kree which I already felt bad about, then our wedding was laid waste to by the Shi’ar but she came to visit me in the hospital??? Why would she do that, doesn’t she hate me?????” But no she doesn’t hate him, and not only does she visit him to keep him updated on how the Kree were fairing she’d go so far as to just take him outside for some fresh air and a break from staring at nothing but four hospital walls all day. She doesn’t HAVE to be doing any of this, she doesn’t HAVE to care about the Kree or him but she does, and Ronan is just unable to understand why because all he ever receives is hostility; the Kree abandoned, tried to wipe out, then tried to re-enslave the Inhumans, he was well aware she didn’t want to marry him, and yet here she is- caring about all of the Kree, caring about him. Even the Kree people themselves have been shown to be quick to turn on him, despite his lifelong devotion to them; but SHE, despite having no reason to, is genuinely compassionate and caring with him so how could he not start falling for her just a little?? 

Alrighty so this is gonna be a LONG ONE so I’m putting the rest under a cut for the sake of your dashboard :’D 

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 02 ] More big protective husband mode. I love that she keeps having to remind him that she’s fine but his brain is just in constant “PROTECC WIFE MODE” he’s a disaster. A total and utter disaster of a man. Also Crystal casually calling him “husband” kasjdfashf meanwhile he’s not sure if it’s okay for him to refer to her so casually (even tho it is you blue dumbass) so he just calls her either “my lady” or “Lady Crystal” respectfully or just by name. He called her “my wife” once before this in WoK but he was talking to Medusa as he said it and not addressing Crys directly.

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 02 ] By far one of my favorite single comic panels in existence. STILL BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY REALIZE AND GIVE IN TO THEIR FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER, he get 1(one) kis for checking in on her after they run into Pietro (who is an absolute garbage man btw I could talk about him too). Look at his face. He is on cloud nine right now, he could die happy right here. He got kis and frankly he deserves u3u (I’ll talk more about this panel later!)

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 03 ] (sorry if this is a little hard to read) Look at him confess to her at how genuinely impressed he is with her. Not because of how she treats him, he’s of course leaving his personal gratitude out because he’s already been told their relationship is supposed to be political, but because of how she’s gained respect from the Kree people- more so than her family has! Because why? Because Crystal has shown actually cares, wow! The Kree aren’t exactly what one would call “popular” among other races in the cosmos, and they don’t particularly care, so Crys giving a genuine care about them (especially given the Inhuman’s personal relationship with the Kree) is astounding. The fact that she has any room in her heart for them and assumes her responsibility over them maturely and with and honest desire to do right by them~ Ronan is so grateful, especially given that she’s pretty much the only one aside from himself advocating for the well being of the Kree to Blackbolt and Medusa.

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 03 ] Another of my favorite Ronan moments because.. just.... GOD! It’s Zarek’s insult to his patriotism that sets him off because he’s been through plenty of that before, but you DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT INSULT HIS WIFE! It’s the insult to HER that enrages him. Let’s face it, if Crystal hand’t asked him not to, Ronan would have ceased this man’s whole existence in an instant.

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 03 ] But of course, she still appreciates the sentiment! Also Ronan’s deadpan “Just about” makes me wheeze aloud ever time. He wanted to eviscerate this dude for insulting her but didn’t because wife asked him not to. He’s so fucking mad tho look at him akjsdhfa wife please let me destroy this man in your honor

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 03 ] And then he goes and lets his feelings slip! Which she’s actually kind of amused by, as she’s been picking up on his affections for a little while now (he’s been totally subtle about it /s). But her last marriage didn’t end well at all so no doubt she was probably withholding to see just what kind of man Ronan is (spoiler alert: he’s a grade-A husband turns out and a really genuine guy when you get to know him. Or should I say when he lets you get to know him lol!). He also very subtly calls her ‘fine’ here which, I mean.. she is let’s be real. 

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 03 ] (again, sorry this is hard to read! tumblr really didn’t want to work with me on these pics akjsdh) Probably one of my top two favorite Ronan and Crystal moments. She calls him out on calling her “beloved” and this ABSOLUTE DUMBASS first tries to play it off like he has no idea what she’s talking about then is just like “oh uh.... well I mean... it was... the heat of the moment......” Excellent cover, my good sir, no one suspects a thing. But of course Crystal isn’t gonna let him get away with that so easily. And in a moment of pure bad bitch energy she THREATENS TO KISS HIM if he keeps it up. And he’s just AGHAST, SCANDALIZED, HOWEVER COULD SHE HAVE FIGURED OUT HIS FEELINGS FOR HER??? HE WAS SO SUBTLE, SO RIGID IN HIS COMMITMENT TO KEEPING THINGS PURELY POLITICAL. SHE MUST BE SOME SORT OF PSYCHIC! (insert metal gear solid exclamation point sound effect on Ronan’s face in the last panel someone help this man)

Crystal: “You said you liked me.”

Ronan, the pinnacle of Kree dignity: “.......... No I didn’t..”

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 04 ]  Crystal is nothing if not a lady of her word and it doesn’t take her long to cash in on that threat~ When Maximus mind controls Ronan and tries to force him to kill himself (Bioshock 2 style) Crys figures this is the perfect way to snap him out of it, and she was very correct. Ronan’s face I just sob lol, he’s always so lost for words when flustered bless this adorable soft man. He’s not used to kisses. (Also Crys putting a hand on his chest is my favorite thing, and just wait until they start holding hands)

And from this moment on these two are pretty much all in on this relationship. No more hiding, no more denying their feelings for the sake of politics. There’s of course a lot more in War of Kings about the very beginnings of their character dynamic and their arranged marriage but I’ll get to that in a separate post (if you made it this far I appreciate you so much and apologize profusely)! 

What I’ve always loved about their relationship and why it’s my all time favorite is just how pure and genuine it is, and how much they benefited each other and how much they grew as individuals through each other. Ronan from the beginning felt bad about their arranged marriage, he didn’t do it for any other reason than needing to maintain a seat of authority when handing over leadership of the Kree to the Inhumans in the hopes the Inhumans would help them with their stagnant evolution. He never tried to solicit anything from Crystal, and maintained a respectful space, never overstepping any boundary unless SHE invited him to do so, but always offering himself should she need. The relationship only ever moved at the pace she wanted. Ronan valued her input and views and demanded nothing but respect for her from others (I mean look at what happened to Zarek when he called Crystal a “pink-fleshed lab animal”).

[ Above - Realm of Kings: Inhumans 02 ] (spliced this page for the sake of posting) Jumping back in the timeline a little bit, this particular moment is one I find very important. Crystal defending Ronan in front of her ex-husband Quicksilver (who sucks) while also subtly hinting at her own growing affections for him. She says that Ronan is actually “rather sweet”, so his constant protectiveness is clearly something she takes no offense to. Not only that, but when Quicksilver asks if Ronan makes “her feel the same way he used to”, Crystal ADAMANTLY says that Ronan does not and the’s grateful that he doesn’t. She told him that she doesn’t need to justify anything to him yet she makes a point to be very clear that Ronan has shown himself to be better of a husband than Quicksilver was. Remember, Crystal and Quicksilver’s marriage didn’t end well (I’ve personally never liked how lightly Marvel has taken it and how things seem to smooth over rather unrealistically. The things Quicksilver did should be unforgivable.) so not only is Crystal going to let Quicksilver show up and interrogate her on her new marriage, she’s definitely not going to let him down-talk her new husband, who frankly, she’s surprisingly happy with and who’s treated her better and valued her more than Pietro ever did. Also to clarify, this is the conversation where Ronan comes in and checks on Crystal afterwards, asking if she’s alright and insisting he’s not trying to pry (and getting that kiss on the cheek from her); he doesn’t butt in on the conversation at any point and gives them space. I don’t think he’s aware of their previous marital status, that subject might be a bit too heavy for Crystal to share with him so early on, but he clearly senses the tension and makes a point to ask Crystal if she’s okay when he’s able. I think Crystal saying aloud what it is about Ronan that sets him apart from Quicksilver, and how he’s turned out to actually be a really good husband is what maybe flipped that final small switch in her, like hearing it out loud made her think “huh he really has been nothing like I expected, maybe he is someone I can be happy with~” thus prompting the kiss on the cheek even tho she hasn’t yet confronted him about his feelings or made her own clear to him. She’s just very grateful to him, of how kind he’s been, how he’s listened to and valued what she has to say more than Quicksilver or her own family seems to, and of course she’s just endeared to his surprising gentle and sweet nature.

It’s a real shame that Marvel erased all of this in the MCU, Ronan has shown a few minor hints of what could be a personality similar to this in the movies but we all know that didn’t last long. Ronan’s a surprisingly deep character, and a rather sad one when you look at his history, it’s just a lot more subtle than a lot of the big name Marvel characters. Crystal was probably the first truly good thing to have ever happened to him, and aside from her daughter of course, he was probably the same for her as well. The writing of their relationship is my absolute favorite due to how mature and subtle it was. Ronan never tried to win her over so that their marriage would seem more like a desirable thing to her like you’d expect characters in a situation like this to do. He gave her space and respected her boundaries and was just genuine and kind (something we didn’t know he was capable of up until this point), and in doing so she just naturally gravitated towards him. They were both always mature, no petty relationship drama like jealousy or miscommunication like so many couples in fiction are written for the sake of making things interesting (which they never do in my opinion, it’s just annoying) and then is dragged out unnecessarily. None of that cliche “they could easily sort things out if they just talk to each other!” or “person A is jealous of person B just talking to their ex even though there is no reason for them to be”. Crystal and Ronan are both too old and have been through too much to deal with petty nonsense like that. They see each other for their true and genuine selves and love each other for them and that’s all that matters. Like I said, Ronan was willing to defy the whole of the Kree empire, the empire he’s given his life to, for her without a shred of hesitation; and when the Inhumans decided to leave Hala and return to earth, Crystal chose to stay with Ronan (all moments I’ll talk about in a separate post at some point!) 

There’s so much more I could say about just these early stages within Realm of Kings alone but there’s even more within War of Kings and following comics like Fantastic Four and others I want to touch on in another post as alas I don’t have the room for all the images I want to share :’D

1) I got lost in your soa meta tag... My opinions on the characters change with each rewatch, except Tara. She’s my fave... and I’ll never understand the hate she got, especially from women. The same women who loved and rooted for Gemma, and defended all her actions but hated Tara. I remember when the spoilers came out that Gemma murdered Tara- women on fb and ig were cheering about it. I was horrified.

cont. I loved Gemma in the first 3 seasons, her relationship with Tara in s2/3 was my favorite. After that I hated her. I’ll never understand what Nero saw in her. She was a complete train wreck. Jax is horrible, but I can’t help but love him. I think because I don’t rewatch the last few seasons as much as I do the others, so I try to block out all the really bad stuff. I hated all the bloodshed and how horrible the characters got- the last season makes me nauseous. But SOA is still one of my favorite shows of all time. Jax finding Tara’s dead body is still the saddest scene in television history for me. I sob every single time I watch it. The first time I watched SOA I hated Wendy. Then other rewatches became a like/hate with her. One minute I hated her the next I could sympathize with her. Back and forth. I’ve rewatched it so many times (mainly the first 4) some times I would try to work out timelines and that would be reason enough to hate Wendy. There was a point I even shipped her with Jax, and was glad they worked it out in the end. But then I would read someone’s meta about her, and I’d be like wtf she’s not good enough for Jax or the boys. Smh. Now the only thing that irritates me about Wendy is the s6 crap. and this is probably a very unpopular opinion... but I cannot stand Opie and never got why fans liked him so much. If I made a list of fav soa characters he wouldn’t even make the top 10. I thought he was boring in s1, dumb in s2, I only remember him killing Stahl in s3, and I hated him in s4 for cheating on Lyla. Like, I’m not completely heartless when it comes to him tho, mainly due to Ryan Hurst’s acting, the emotional scenes really got me; seeing Donna dead, beating up Tig, finding Piney dead, killing Stahl, the whole scene leading up to him shooting Clay, all great scenes that made me cry. But Opie is still just “blah” to me. Ps.. sorry for all the messages 👀 

Hey there! Please, never apologise for sending asks. I love interacting with people and discussing fandom things. I hope you enjoyed reading through my rather extensive SOA meta tag. Since you’ve read some of my posts, I assume you probably already know my stance on the characters and a lot of the things that you’ve spoken about. 

My opinions also change with every re-watch I do. That’s the case for any show I re-watch, not just SOA. That’s why I love re-watches so much; they allow us to get to know the universe and characters even better, to notice details we may have missed previously and develop new perceptions on things. With every re-watch I do, I purposefully try to watch it with fresh eyes and to cast previous opinions aside and look beyond what I’ve previously seen/thought about the show. 

The hate that Tara gets is unfair and undeserved. I wasn’t in the SOA fandom when the show was airing, but it’s horrifying to know that fans were cheering about her death. I know she’s only a fictional character, but it’s very sad that people would react that way. Regardless of personal feeling, Tara did not deserve what happened to her. No one deserves to be so brutally and viciously murdered in that way, it’s by far the most gruesome and painful death on the show. I still find that scene (and the one that follows with Jax finding her body) difficult to watch. Tara is definitley not my favourite character, but she’s by far the most relatable character and she’s fantastically well written. I think that perhaps the hate she has got in the past (I don’t really see it now) stems from that fact that she’s not really that likeable. That may just be my personal opinion, but despite the fact that she always tries to do the right thing and was one of the most morally “good” characters on the show, she always came across a little hypocritcal and snobby to me. But I completely understand why she’d be your favourite character and why so many fans love her.

When it comes to discussing my like and dislike for characters on SOA, it’s a very complex thing. I detest practically every single character on the show, because they’re all awful people that do terrible things. However, there are certain characters who I’m able to love despite that because of the way in which they’re written and how complex they are. Jax is one of those characters and so is Clay. I hate Gemma with a passion, but again, I can appreciate how complex she is and as far as villains go, she’s one of the best in my opinion. I love Wendy to pieces, but you’ll already know that from reading my tag. I think she’s very misunderstood and underrated. I really saw Wendy as being an underdog, and that’s probably why I love her so much. I completely agree about Opie! He is by far the most overrated character. I don’t understand why fans love him so much. I think that maybe it stems from his death and that because it was so emotional and impactful, fans have memorialised him and placed him on a pedastal. But in reality, he was a stagnant character with nothing to offer. I feel that way about a lot of the other minor characters too like Tig, Chibs, Bobby, Juice, Happy etc.

wowowoow so like... this whole thing was a R O L L E R C O A S T E R and like ten times worse cuz im so emotionally fragile after all of this is over djfhjkhfggj

this turned into “what i liked abt each performance” instead of unpopular opinions BUT i still added some throughout so :^)

so honesty hour~ i was scared when Seunghun was joining treasure 5... NOT that i think hes untalented in any way shape or form, but he’s the oldest and it seemed like the group would be seunghun + the kids LMAO 

BUT I WAS SURPRISED (not rly) that he fit so well into Going Crazy ??? Like i was so shook that seunghun could sing any song and totally slay it ,, like wowowow he keeps surpassing my expectations

i screamed when he appeared on stage

ok ok okokokok for those who dont know... jihoon .... is my bias and this performance i have been dreading looking forward to the entire week

i know YG edited it and made it seem like Boomerang was too powerful and strong for dohwan and yeongue, but honestly, out of all the groups, i think boomerang was most suited for this team ,,, 

like yeongue??? singing daehwi’s parts?? i didnt know i needed that til now... their voices are so similiar (like tone and style) and their dancing was similar as well !! 

 all of them were so good? like dohwan is an amazing dancer + vocalist and yoshinori..... really.... wearing that... rapping like that.... sgjdfghsfdjgh

plus,,, where are those ppl who were calling jihoon untalented?? BOY WAS LITERALLY THE MAIN VOCAL IN THE PERFORMANCE U HOES

anyways, choi hyunsuk......... he is an amazing leader wowow like when he was leading the boys in the rehearsal and shouting at them while they were literally on stage kdfjdhskd  that was a side of him we hadnt seen before

and the fact that he choreographed the dance breaks ?!?!? like he couldve asked jihoon to help him, but the fact that he carried that on his own is AMAZING ... they truly had the hardest dance to learn and when they made it themselves,, it made everything 10x cooler

ok like from that teaser... we all knew they were going to win ... it was just expected with confetti guns and backup dancers 3 members of team a +mashi and yoonbin,, all very talented boys and mashi has been training for a long time as well 

in my opinion, this song suited Byounggon and Doyoung the most! they really caught my eye in this performance !! like i knew they were going to win as soon as Byounggon yelled “PARTY PEOPLE~~” like...ok byounggon if u wanted my attention, all u had to do was just ask ;-;

byounggon looked really good in this perf... like really good..... too good *chokes*JFGKDGJKJSGF

im usually not fond of that “wet hair” style,,, but it looked so good on him...... /i cant breathe/

ALSO Doyoung’s singing??? i knew he was a good singer but this song really suited his voice and i got chills when he sang

ok so as expected, Keita and Seunghun were eliminated which was such a shit move on yg’s part :/ like Keita is the longest running japanese trainee and seunghun is the longest running korean trainee... like wtf

and before i get shit for this, obviously i didnt want any of DNA team to be eliminated (i dont want anyone to be eliminated period),,, but c’mon ,, a 14 year old who has been training for not even a year VS 9 year and 5 year trainees ... ,, i’l admit, i think seunghun deserved that spot, 

and jeongwoo thought so too ,, like the look in jeongwoo’s eyes were not “oh yay i won!!” they were “me park jeongwoo??” kdfjdgkhsfd ,, he looked at seunghun immediately which was so sad cuz these trainees dont even have the time to be happy for themselves cuz they are too busy feeling sad for their friends... ... /sigh/

ok boomerang elimination time freaked me TF out cuz jihoon is my bias of like the entire show and ;-;;;;;;;;; jihoon ;-;;;;;; like obviously hyunsuk was expected, but i was thinking yoshinori or jihoon? really dont know with yg :/  

bUT IM SO HAPPY JIHOON MADE IT AJFKDFJSKGJ  like yes i love Yoshinori but ugh my heart hurts for jihoon .. he’s been through so much ... (but later i felt better keke)

and after those eliminations were over,,, like hyunsuk’s crying really got to me... he was crying ever since seunghun was eliminated and we all know hyunsuk cannot hide his emotions for shit so he was covering his ears during DNA eliminations and he apologized multiple times to the boomerang team and looked SO guilty... my heart ached hearing his sobs... they sounded so child-like and pitiful. it really put things into perspective ;-; 

before this, i was unsure if hyunsuk was fit to be a leader, not cuz he cant lead, but cuz he’s so emotional ... but after boomerang team, i think he really can lead Team A if/when they debut... like wow he was a really amazing leader and sometimes showing/feeling emotion can be good as a role model ... but ofc all team a members are amazing leaders LOL (also jihoon aka leader of team b)

ok i already said my peace abt growl so yeet ,,, was expected and i heard spoilers... /sigh/

and ok ok ,,, so i truly think Dumb and Dumber deserved to win,, but all the groups did so well ! i enjoyed all of them except growl tbh (maybe cuz that song has been covered so many times and im lowkey sick of it sdlkjfhdsjgs) but !! they all worked so hard :’(    

ALSO THAT ENDING AHAHAHAHA :))))

i believe the trainees who come back are Seunghun (i know it is LMAO) and Yoshinori(??) i say that cuz the camera zoomed on Treasure J members and Haruto opened his arms up for a hug !! and i feel like he would do that for another one of his members kldsjfdgahfjd 

PLUS Hyunsuk looked so happy and i know that happiness was directed at Seunghun too, but Yoshinori was also on his team which probs made him feel so much happier !! 

****** Another side note: Seunghun is LITERALLY SO UNLUCKY & HAS IT SO BAD ... like first, he lost against Mashiho when he was chosen by the 100 treasure makers (mashi was chosen by yg). then he won against yoonbin and yeongue, but was called out by everyone by being a popularity contest (which no one is complaining about now even tho these performances were all chosen by the fans ahah funny weird lmao ahah more sarcasm) + YG didnt even compliment him and/or Byounggon ?? :///  

AND ON TOP OF ALL THAT, he gets chosen to be in the Treasure 5, which i was initially SO excited for, but then D&D wins over the Treasures, leaving seunghun to be eliminated...he can never truly win ... + the only time he got complimented was right before he was eliminated, so waht the fuck...

we really though yedam was the protagonist of this show but UHH we thought wrong: it’s Seunghun !! :)))

Nervous was probably the best word to describe the state Draco was in at the moment.

But hell, the Slytherin was so nervous as he sat on his bed of his own dorm down in the dungeons. 

Harry and Draco have been dating for quite some time now. It’s been a rough time, and ever since the fire in the Room Of Requirement and what happened in the war, Draco has felt oddly attracted to the Gryffindor.

 So when they saw each other again in the Hogwarts Express to start a new year in their well known school, his feelings were all over the place.

However, eventually, he found out that Harry might be attracted to him as well, so he made a move and boom; they immediately fell in love, and since the dark lord wasn’t a thing anymore, there was no one that could stop them from becoming the probably cutest couple in the wizard world.

But Draco never felt ready to take it further than hot kissing sessions in his bedroom.

And Harry always respected that, even tho he clearly wanted it.

There just was something about all the time that caused Draco to have some trust issues. 

Now, however, he felt ready; just how would he explain this to Harry?

A knock on the door ripped Draco out of his thoughts and with a short “come in”, Draco laid back on his bed.

Harry, looking like a complete mess, walked inside and jumped in the bed, resting his head on his lover’s shoulder.

“You tired?”

The brown haired boy only nod his head and kissed Draco on the cheek.

“Quidditch is much harder now that I’ve missed it for a year.”

He sighed and cuddled Draco’s side, a small smile on his face.

“What have you been up to, babe?”

“Oh, uhm I...”

With a light shade of red covering his cheeks, Draco shifted so he could look at Harry’s face.

“I’ve been thinking. About us.”

With a frown on his face, Harry tilted his head.

“Is something wrong?”

“No, no, not at all. I’m just...I don’t know how to start this. Let me just...”

Draco decided actions were better than words right now, so he leaned in to kiss Harry passionately, who kissed him back with just the same force.

Harry rolled over so he was on top of the other male, their lips never parting.

First, Draco wasn’t sure what to do, but Harry’s lips drove him crazy, so he just closed his eyes, shut off his head and began to move his hips against Harry’s.

The second their erections touched through their clothes, Harry gasped and broke the kiss.

“D-Draco what are you-?”

But he didn’t want to talk, so he pulled Harry’s face down by his collar to kiss him again, moving his hips with a bit more confidence.

He could feel the moans coming from his lover against his lips, and finally Harry moved his hips too, and yes yes yes, it felt so good.

As if he was afraid of himself, Harry stared at his hands and sobs began to escape his throat.

Even tho Draco felt the sudden urge to roll his eyes all the way back in his head. he sat up and wrapped his arms around Harry.

“I love you, Harry. Please don’t cry. We wanted to forget the past, right?”

When Harry, however, wouldn’t stop sobbing, Draco became inpatient and pulled him into a kiss again, that finally muted the other male’s sobs.

Now it was Draco’s turn to let his slightly shaking hands run over his boyfriend’s chest, before he grabbed the shirt tightly and took it off, breaking the kiss in order to pull the red shirt over Harry’s head. 

In the process Harry’s glasses fell off, but that was okay because they were so close that Harry didn’t need them to see his lover anyways.

As soon as Harry’s shirt joined Draco’s on the floor, he pushed the blonde back again and started to kiss his chest, his scars, softly at first, but then his tongue touched the skin, and Draco never felt so good and happy and needy before.

A soft moan slipped past his lips, and Harry began to kiss his way down to the waistband of Draco’s jeans, his hungry eyes never leaving the other one’s.

Excitement rushed through the Slytherin’s body when he could feel Harry’s hands undoing his belt, unzipping his trousers, and before he knew it, his jeans ended up on the floor as well.

The bulge in Draco’s pants was now right in front of Harry’s face and when his fingers gripped the clothing and pulled it down, Draco hid his face behind his hands and held his breath for a few seconds.

the games i played to completion in 2017, ranked in order of how much i liked them

mostly for my own reference and i’m gonna try to keep this out of the tags but read on if you want to read about me getting super excited about video games i guess

p/ersona 5 - look i know this wasn’t a perfect game like there are Several Large Complaints i would like to file regarding plot and pacing and premise even but this was. still my favorite game of 2017 and just such an enjoyable 120 hours to have spent holy fuck?? like everyone’s always talking about how stylish p5 is and goddamn are they right like it’s such a gorgeous game!! the loving detail they put into every aspect of the UI, the beautiful character sprites, that effortlessly cool contemporary tokyo vibe that oozes into every aspect of the game!! and the gameplay (which i played on normal difficulty, being a series beginner) was both challenging and rewarding and both the dungeons and the school life segments (considering the sheer variety of Shit You Could Do not to mention all the charming-ass characters with compelling sideplots) were just. an absolute treat?? plus the soundtrack to this game was just killer so there’s also that

n/ier: automata - SPEAKING OF GAMES WITH GR8 SOUNDTRACKS. i think this game’s soundtrack probably ranks up there with my favorite video game OSTs of ALL TIME FOREVER like seriously. it is so so good. anyway friends it took me four (4) days to beat this game and another full 24 hours just to process this game like. y’all know i’m always a slut for sad robots and BOY HOWDY did this game have that thing. not only is the game itself gorgeous but i’m pretty much in love with the Entire cast (but especially 9S, who is my special son) and i’m crying,, eternally,, about the c/d/e routes and even though it probably wasn’t the Most impressive and best written game Ever it had a lot of good twists and revelations and a real sense of weight and suspense esp. in the later playthroughs which i am ALL ABOUT. not being much of an action RPG person i never really fell in love w/ the combat but it was fun enough even though it got kind of repetitive and too hack-and-slashy for my taste after a while?? actually fuck the bullet hell hacking minigame tho if i’m gonna be real

f/ire emblem fates (birthright, conquest, and revelation) - listen i know this game was like objectively garbage but i’m still trying to justify having spent a literal 1/3 of my year playing it so bear with me for just 2 hot seconds. first of all hi yes there’s a running theme here bc i dig the shit out of fe14′s OST?? also even though the plot was kind of a mess the characters and supports still grew on me a lot after a while and actually the gameplay was really fun?? maybe it’s bc i played it on hard/classic (as opposed to fea which i played on normal/casual) but i really enjoyed the combat a lot more in these games than fea--actually i do think there’s actually a lot of actual improvements here, especially with all the new classes, the improved dual guard/dual strike rules, and no fucking weapon durability, etc. as well as a lot of the more unusual victory conditions (in conquest and revelation, not so much in birthright) like i feel like there were a lot of highlights and i genuinely enjoyed the battles in fe14 a lot and sure the whole waifu nintendogs concept is creepy as hell and babyrealm is a fucking joke but i still thought this was a Pretty good or at least enjoyable game so you can fight me on that front

d/anganronpa v3 - ok let me me the first to admit that i honestly?? don’t really like dr as a franchise very much and the only real reason i got into it in the first place is to fill the ace attorney-shaped hole in my heart in between releases thereof (as well as superficial similarities to other games i like, like ze) and while i still enjoy the gameplay and investigating and mystery-solving parts of it and those aspects i still find very enjoyable and well-written a lot of the rest of the games really kind of fall flat for me?? like tbh i’m not a huge fan of the art style, the sense of humor and localization don’t really do it for me, the characters are cute but kind of over-the-top and not super relatable to me personally, and honestly the whole ~evil mastermind did it for the lulz~ trope being played super straight disappointed me a lot about the first game especially?? that being said i know this is a bit of a base breaker but i actually really liked the direction that sdr2 took with its ending and it made me hopeful for the sequel, which brings me to drv3 which surprised me in a lot of pleasant ways?? like personally i think it’s the best dr yet and while i can see why people would be disappointed with the ending and feel like it may be a cop-out i think it was still clever enough that i appreciate it for trying?? or maybe it’s just bc i didn’t like the original so much and the departure from that felt like kind of a breath of relief but that’s just me idk

f/inal fantasy x - guess who was late to the party and played her first final fantasy in this year of the lord 2017!!! it’s me!!! honestly i was expecting more from this game overall in terms of plot just because it’s such a Classic and all but fwiw i still liked it?? i didn’t super love any of the main characters and the story was a little predictable and even though i played the remaster it’s still an obviously dated game but NEVERTHELESS it was still just a solid RPG and i genuinely enjoyed playing it!! i should play the sequel sometime but. i’ll get to it after i clear out this massive backlog i have currently as we speak sobs

the witness - i don’t talk about this game enough bc honestly it isn’t the kind of game that can have a real fanbase (no real characters or plot, etc.) but i still enjoyed the fuck out of this, holy hell. i mean it’s i guess kind of an open-world exploration-slash-puzzle concept which sounds kind of boring but the world is gorgeous and the way the game presents these puzzles for you to solve and teaches you the rules in a way that’s entirely self-explanatory and intuitive but still super difficult and ultimately rewarding is just so gratifying and i was just so so impressed at how creative they got with these puzzle designs and the way the world seems to unfold itself the more you unlock its secrets?? anyway i know this is near the bottom bc i do love me a video game story and this particular game doesn’t have that but PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU LIKE PUZZLES IT IS JUST SO COOL AND FUN AND GOOD

the n/onary games (999 only) - this is a replay but still worth mentioning i think?? obviously 999 is one of my favorite games of all time and i was super pumped about the remake and while i didn’t quite enjoy it as much as the very first time i played 999 on my DS it was still a good game!! tbh i mostly just played this game for the voice acting which i was pretty impressed with, and also i got to pick up a lot of the bilingual bonuses i obviously missed while playing my localized copy of the original game which was cool!! i wasn’t as impressed with the updated sprites unfortunately, i felt like their quality was inconsistent and some of them looked like kind of a rush job to me but ymmv i guess?? i think overall i still prefer the DS version even with improvements like the flow chart in the newer version, mostly because 1. i actually appreciated having to literally replay parts of the game in the former bc i feel like it’s more in the spirit of the game if you know what i mean, and 2. some details near the ending that they changed, which you definitely know what i mean if you played the game. still, i appreciate that it’s made the game more widely accessible and if you haven’t played the game pls go play this game i’m literally begging u,,

u/mineko (question arcs only) - ok the only reason i have this 8th on this list is just bc i haven’t technically finished it yet and BOY am i the kind of person who lives entirely for that sweet sweet payoff but there really isn’t THAT much i can say?? like thanks to the ps3 patch the art is pretty decent i guess?? i’m liking all the characters so far?? there’s a whole lot of Bullshit that doesn’t make any sense at this point but i’ve been promised metagame and mindfuck in due time so i guess i’ll just have to see?? yeah this is more of a tbd review than anything i don’t really know what to say besides i’m just so eager to play the other half of this game and get the answers to all these gotdamn MYSTERIES already

braid - i mostly just played this bc i knew it was made by the same person?? studio?? as the witness and while i liked braid and i really enjoyed the puzzles it was just too short for it to have really made an impression on me?? like i know that there is a story and a Twist but it didn’t really do much for me with how abstract it was and just in terms of sheer volume of content it doesn’t quite compare to the other games on this list like don’t get me wrong it was still good!! and if you need a way to kill an afternoon i still highly recommend it but it just wasn’t as memorable to me as p5 or nier was unfort

Ging is horrible, but like you said, at least he tries and acknowledges that he’s a bad parent. In his own way. I mean, the whole journey to find him was something he designed himself to help Gon grow as a hunter (though that also connects to Ging’s slightly problematic habit of treating Gon more like a hunter to train than a child to raise…)
